Check out these natural home design ideas, courtesy of this stone house by Alexandre de Betak. Hidden away in a small village in Majorca, “Cave House” is the epitome of home – earthy, welcoming and comfortable all at once. A stone facade serves as an apt introduction to this lasting material, which makes many unexpected appearances at every turn inside as well. In the living room, the small-scale pebble-inlaid floor makes a subtle yet striking focal point. And the natural step-stone paving the way into the bedroom is so striking, so memorable. The home’s character comes through also in the natural exposed wood beams across the ceilings, irregular edges and the rough look of plaster walls, and features like alcoves and niches that look like they were shipped away right into the “cave”. Humans have always loved fire, so what better way to enjoy an evening outside than sat around a flickering flame.

Bonfires are fun on the 5th November, but if you want a controlled heat without getting clouded in smoke then a fire pit or chimenea is what you need.

Both are safe, simple and controllable ways of warming up your evenings when sat out on your decking, patio or garden. They also make fantastic focal points for parties. Chimeneas are charming, chimney like stoves that look great, feel fantastic and can be used for cooking.

This wooden house looks more like a modern cabin to us. It’s located on a horseshoe-shaped island in Finland. This black minimalist home is designed by Avanto Architects and it took two years on the making, the wooden house project started in 2008 and completed in 2010. Occupying at just 78 square meters, this house has two faces. One is facing the north while the other one is facing east. Overall this minimalist wooden house has 4 points of view. The outer part of this natural house is painted black, contrasting with its white interior, thus emphasizing the lighting.

The dark color at this green building makes it seems in disguise with trees around.
